Pokemon Go now used by a company in recruiting Tech employees

If you’re out to catch ’em all, you may just land yourself a new job in the process.

Avvo, the Seattle-based online legal services startup, used Pokémon Go “lures” to attract players during lunch hour today in Seattle’s Denny Park. Once there, those players were able to connect with recruiters to learn about job openings and what it’s like to work for the growing tech company.

Pokémon Go has been riding a wave of publicity since its debut earlier this month, and companies are acting fast to try to catch the attention of smartphone users who are wandering their cities playing the game.

Avvo was in the park, located between Dexter Avenue and 9th Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in the 8th and Olive Building in downtown Seattle, Avvo helps people find and connect with a lawyer through content, tools and services, including profiles for 97 percent of practicing lawyers in the U.S.
