Origin

The COPULA app was developed by Igbalajobi Elias, an undergraduate student of the department of Computer science and Engineering in Obafemi Awolowo University OAU,Ile-Ife Nigeria.
He said that the inspiration behind the app was to develop a media player app that's interactive and social, an app that could serve as a media player as well as a social media.

• Media Browser: Browse media files (songs, images, and videos on their device) of friends from your device without internet after a one time connection with them.
• Media Download/Streaming: Stream and download their media from your device without internet.
• Social profile: create a timeline on copula once you set the app up, you can customise your profile anyway you want. post new songs on your timeline so friends and family who follow you and see media on your timeline and a lot more.
• Media Interaction: Interact with shared media by liking, viewing, downloading or re-sharing it. 
• Media player: Copula comes with an amazing media player which you can just make your preferred player.
• Privacy Manager: Copula allows you to hide your personal or private media from your friends, notifies you to hide/unhide your new media and as well choose media your friends can share or download so you never have to worry about privacy.
