Grow your online/internet Business from making $1000 to $5000..NIBC2016 special
Many are people are into online business this days but how many people are really making it from the business, here is a tip from the CEO of naijaloaded.com Azeez makinde which he gave during his speech at the just concluded NIBC2016.
Founder of the renowned music site - Naijaloaded Azeez Makinde, over the weekend shared secret of how he grew his business from earning $1000 in 2009 to about $50, 000 just three year later.
Makinde, disclosed this while addressing a panel session at the just concluded Nigeria Internet Business Conference, at Glass House, University of Lagos.
He said he started blogging just when he started seeking admission to study in the University. "I started blogging in 2009, as I was also seeking admission into university. I gained admission in 2011 and as at then I grew my business from earning $1000 to $45, 000" he said.
Makinde, added that blogging is a very lucrative business on the internet, however a blogger needs consistency to survive.
"Consistency is what has taken us to where we are today, Naijaloaded has over 96 per cent of its views on direct visit. This shows how vision driven we are".
Some other heavyweights in the Nigerian Internet business also shared some secrets of the profession to young Nigerians. Amongst these are the Chief Executive Officer of the G-text Media; Stephen Akintayo, Founder of Information Nigeria; Kingsley Ezeani, Creative Director of Tradersball; Daniel Malik, Internet Marketer Pat Ogidi, Velma Law Firm Partner, David Ashaolu among others.
Stephen Akintayo, in his keynote address said that young Nigerians are keen about making money online, but lacked the knowledge of online business.
In his word, Akintayo say :
"Youth of today are only keen about making money on the internet, but lacked knowledge about online businesses. There are thousands of business on the internet, but today I will be sharing with you, some knowledge about the online businesses that exist" he said.
He added that the zeal of internet business seekers to make money online is higher than the passion the business . "You first need to build your own personality on the internet before you can truly make it online. Reputation management is necessary, when your name is being search on Google, what does it show people? " Akintayo quizzed .
The Nigeria Internet Business Conference, is an annual event organized to enlighten young Nigerians about vast opportunities on the internet. It's a conference convened by a Nigerian blogger Lukmon Fasasi, with his NIBC Team. The maiden edition of the conference was held in November 2016 at the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile -Ife.
Other special guests at the 2nd edition of the NIBC includes : Television Continental's Presenter; Olayemi Ogunwole, CRO of CherryBrooks Media David Olumuyiwa, the founder of the Lifematics Center Moyo Jogunosimi and others.
